Combination 1

Step forward on left foot to Zone 1, while executing a #6 block. Wrap attacker’s arm with left arm for an elbow lock. Circle right hand from right to left with a downward tiger claw across attacker’s face ending at attacker’s right shoulder. Pull right hand back, then deliver a crane head strike to attacker’s right cheekbone with right wrist. Rechamber right hand at your right ribs, then strike with tiger’s mouth to attacker’s windpipe and squeeze. Step with right foot behind attacker’s right foot into a horse stance. Push downward, felling attacker to his back. Pull right hand back to elbow position, ripping throat and closing fist. Deliver right front punch to attacker’s right cheek and left downward sword to attacker’s sternum while releasing attacker’s right arm. Step back with right foot on 90° angle off attacker’s rear, draw to flat cat into on guard position.

Combination 2

Right #3 sword block to radial nerve of attacker’s right wrist, then strike philtrum with right back two-knuckle punch, while stepping left foot back to Zone 7, perpendicular to the attacker. Shuffle in on right foot, then deliver downward reverse elbow to attacker’s sternum, driving attacker’s weight to his heels. Right sword hand proceeds over attacker’s head, finding the back crease of the left knee with a sweeping motion. Right hand flows to back of attacker’s ankle, which is trapped with left hand on top. Throw attacker’s leg to outside of practitioner’s right knee. Right downward sword to groin, then left cross sword to inside right thigh just below groin. Step back with right foot, drawing left foot to flat cat with left foot into on guard position.

Combination 3

#4 palm block to outside of attacker’s right arm. Right thrust punch strikes low on attacker’s right rib cage. Left hand then presses attacker’s arm into his body, as right hand rolls to rolling thunder strike to right temple. Right hand then grabs left shoulder behind attacker’s neck with eagle’s talon, spinning attacker counter-clockwise to practitioner. Strike with downward thrust punch to triple warmer 17 as feet pivot and screw into ground felling attacker to Zone 3. Step back on right foot to forward stance on guard position.

Combination 4

#4 tiger block passes to #5 tiger block, circling around in a clock-wise motion, blocking under attacker’s right punch. Throw attacker’s hand away as the circle finishes at 9 o’clock, while stepping back on right foot to Zone 7.

Right hand continues from 9 o’clock position to 12 o’clock, delivering tiger rake to bridge of nose. Left hand strikes with downward tiger rake to sternum, as right front ball kick strikes inside left thigh, felling attacker to his back. Right foot lands in twist stance in front of left.

Draw both hands back to shoulders as you lower your stance. Leap forward over attacker’s body. Shoot both hands forward as you leap, projecting your body for longer jump, landing with one foot on either side of opponent’s head. Deliver left and right simultaneous downward tiger rakes to forehead. Roll hands to double trigger punches to eyes (knuckles impact cheekbones).

Raise right knee to crane position, standing on left leg. Scuff up attacker’s chin with right front heel kick, pull back to crane and deliver downward heel stomp to sternum. Right foot crosses over left; left foot steps to Zone 5. Assume leaning dragon stance: right leg straight, left knee bent low, leaning away from attacker, as right #7 tiger block drops to line of right leg and #6 tiger block rises, both palms facing towards attacker in on guard position.

Combination 5

Left fortress block as left foot steps back to a side horse in Zone 7. Left hand seizes attacker’s wrist, drawing it downward towards the belt line as right backfist strikes right cheek bone of attacker. Driving right side heel kick strikes attacker’s right rib cage. Right foot crosses over left, and left foot steps back to Zone 7 to on guard position.

Right fortress block as practitioner steps back with right foot, seizing attacker’s right wrist with right dragon foot. Deliver left palm heel strike to right cheek bone and low right front ball kick to attacker’s right knee. Release dragon foot while in crane and deliver right rolling thunder to right temple. Draw right hand across body, delivering downward shuto to back of attacker’s neck as right side stomp strikes back of right knee. Right foot crosses in front of left to Zone 1; left foot steps out to on guard position.

#4 palm block to #1 ridge block under attacker’s arm, stepping to Zone 1. Right hand comes down and delivers cross shuto to right ribs as left hand flows upward through #2 block motion. Practitioner delivers a right side stomp to attacker’s right knee. Right foot crosses in front of left to Zone 3, left foot steps out to on guard position.

Step back with right foot to Zone 7 on ball of foot while executing #2 ridge hand block. Right hand traps down on top of left biceps, holding attacker’s wrist. Deliver right front ball kick to solar plexus. Release attacker’s wrist and deliver right back fist, left driving palm heel, then right front ball kick to attacker’s solar plexus. Step out to looming dragon hidden tiger on-guard position.

Step back with right foot to Zone 7 while executing #1 ridge hand block. Left hand traps down on top of practitioner’s right biceps, holding attacker’s wrist. Deliver right front ball kick to attacker’s right rib cage. Hold the crane stance and draw attacker’s wrist across body to left shoulder with left hand, performing downward side stomp to knee as right backfist strikes attacker’s right temple. Right foot crosses in front of left; left foot steps back Zone 7 to on guard position.

Combination 10

Step in with left foot to Zone 1 as #6 block rises and wraps attacker’s arm, joint-locking elbow. Right hand scuffs under chin with palm heel strike. Continuing the circle with the right hand, strike attacker’s groin with right ridge hand, then strikes under chin with upward palm. Fingers pinned outward by attacker’s left cheek, hold and push downward with right hand as practitioner steps behind attacker with right foot, finding horse stance and felling attacker to his back. With elbow lock still intact and practitioner’s left arm under attacker’s right triceps, perform two downward right sword hands to sternum. Practitioner releases joint lock, unwrapping arm and striking downward with double sword hand strikes, crossing right hand over left and striking same spot on attacker’s rib cage. Step back with right foot to Zone 7 and draw to flat cat on-guard position.

Combination 11

Left #4 palm block, stepping to Zone 1 with left foot. Right trigger punch to right temple followed by right elbow to front of right rib cage, as left hand sweeps back of attacker’s right knee. As attacker falls, right hand goes over rising right leg, wrapping attacker’s leg under right armpit.

Press left palm to outside of attacker’s right knee, shuffling in to kneel on attacker’s groin with right knee. Stand up and stand over body with left foot to Zone 2, as right foot steps back to Zone 1. As practitioner rotates clockwise to flip attacker face-down, kneel down on attacker’s coccyx bone with right knee, arching back to dislocate attacker’s right hip.

Drop attacker’s leg from underneath right arm, pivoting on left foot and delivering a hook kick to attacker’s left ear with right heel. Right foot lands at Zone 2. Deliver right kneeling thrust punch to back of attacker’s rib cage. Scuff heel kick same spot with right foot, followed by downward axe kick to attacker’s left ribs, landing with right foot on Zone 1. Left foot then swings over attacker’s body as left heel delivers hook kick to attacker’s right ear. Continue hook kick motion around to Zone 3. Draw right foot back to full cat on-guard position.

Combination 12

Right #3 palm block to left #2 sword block. Step back on right foot to Zone 7, delivering left ball kick striking attacker’s solar plexus. Step down forward with left foot pivoting clockwise. Look over right shoulder in a wounded tiger stance and deliver a right back heel kick. Step away, right foot in front. Left foot steps to Zone 7 showing tiger guard, circling palm sword style with tiger claws in on guard position.

Combination 13

Hold belt with buckle/knot on left side, hands in front punch position, shoulder width apart. Step in with left foot to Zone 1 as left hand moves across to #4 block using the belt to block. Deliver right rolling thunder strike to right temple. Loop belt over attacker’s head and pull right hand back, punching Adam’s apple a glancing blow. Seize attacker by choking with belt. Step right foot behind left to rotate hips 180° into a tsoh throw over left leg. Release attacker’s neck by letting go with left hand. Pull belt back behind right side of your body, striking downward in a figure 8 motion with belt buckle/knot to groin, then face. Step back with right foot to Zone 4 as belt circles down and around to left tiger’s mouth, catching belt. Close left fist and pull left foot to full cat stance on guard position.

Combination 13b

Hold belt with buckle/knot on left side, hands in front punch position, shoulder width apart. Step in on the right foot to Zone 8 as #3 block comes across, blocking inside attacker’s right arm. Strike low with left thrust punch and high with right back punch to attacker’s right cheek. Left hand then winds belt behind attacker’s neck. Step left foot behind and twist right, turning counter-clockwise to Zone 4 to a tsoh throw over right leg, controlling attacker so as to fall with head between practitioner’s legs. Pull belt from underneath attacker’s neck, snapping the eyes with blade of belt. Release belt with left hand and pull back behind right side of practitioner’s body, striking downward to groin with buckle. Step back on right foot to Zone 1, striking face with buckle. Shuffle back to Zone 1. Catch belt in left tiger’s mouth. Close fist around belt and draw to full cat stance, left foot up, on-guard position.

Combination 13c

Hold belt with buckle/knot on left side, hands in front punch position, shoulder width apart. Step back with right foot to Zone 7. Bring belt downward over the top of attacker’s right arm. Draw left foot to cat stance, lunge forward striking eyes with blade of belt. Loop belt over head striking back of neck. Push left back punch into and under Adam’s apple while pulling back right hand towards ribs (fish on the line). Deliver right rising knee strike to heart. Step back with right foot to Zone 7, dragging attacker face down to floor to Zone 4. Release with left hand, unlocking attacker’s neck. Draw belt behind right side of practitioner’s body strike downward in circular motion with buckle targeting right temple. Circle belt again, catching in tiger’s mouth. Close left fist over the belt while stepping back to Zone 1 with right foot, left foot drawing to full cat stance, on guard position.

Combination 13d

Hold belt with buckle on left side, hands in front punch position, shoulder width apart. Step to Zone 1 with left foot. As #4 block comes across, right hand wraps under the wrist of the attacker as left forearm applies pressure by elbow joint trapping attacker’s arm and dislocating elbow. Right foot then steps behind left to twist stance. Rotate clockwise, facing Zone 3, felling attacker to his back. Release trap by letting go of belt with left hand. Strike downward to groin and face with buckle in figure 8 motion. Raise left knee up into stepping stool kick, right heel striking attacker’s heart while right hand circles belt down to right temple. Step back on right foot to Zone 6 while catching belt in left tiger’s mouth. Close fist and draw left foot to full cat stance, on guard position.

Combination 13e

Hold belt with buckle on left side, hands in front punch position, shoulder width apart. #3 block as left hand wraps under wrist seizing simultaneously striking inside of attacker’s right knee with crescent kick. Step down between attacker’s legs, stepping right behind left to twist counter-clockwise, felling attacker so the head lands to Zone 2, arm still trapped in belt. Kneel with right knee beside attacker, striking ribs on the way down but settling on floor. Unwrap attacker’s right arm as right back fist strikes right cheek. Left thrust punch strikes cheek, right thrust punch strikes cheek, finishing with blade strike of belt to eyes. Stand up, stepping back to Zone 3 with right foot, drawing up to full cat stance with left foot as dynamic tension is created by circling the belt… On guard.

Combination 14

Draw left knee up to crane position while blocking with #3 palm block to inside of attacker’s right radial nerve, then pop arm up with #6 crane’s head block. Instep kick with left to stepping stool kick with right, striking just above belt line. Land with right foot back, then snap right foot forward to target attacker’s chin with front ball kick. Land with right foot back, sword hand circling to on guard position.

Combination 15

#4 palm blocks outside attacker’s right arm as #1 raises to #5 ridge hand block continues under attacker’s arm. Right foot steps over left to twist stance in Zone 1. Low left cross sword strikes right side of rib cage, followed by an inverted right palm strike to the attacker’s right ear. Step around attacker with left foot counter-clockwise as left whipping ridge hand strikes left side of neck, with right inverted palm still pressing against right ear, seizing the head by turning left wrist under chin. Step back with right foot and settle attacker’s body weight on left thigh. Attacker’s head should be across right side of body. With right hand, perform upward tiger rake to face and eyes, circling right hand behind to downward elbow to left temple. Follow up with downward hammer strike to heart. Drop attacker by stepping back with left foot to Zone 1, drawing right foot up to flat cat, forward hand in closed fist, on guard position.

Combination 16

Slip forward to Zone 1 as #4 and #3 palm traps attacker’s arm, dislocating elbow (left palm at base of triceps, right palm at end of radial nerve). Bow kick with right foot as you use an arm bar to force attacker to the floor in Zone 4 (typically on his hand and knees). Step over body, left foot delivering a crescent to axe kick, striking the left side of attacker’s neck. With attacker’s arm between practitioner’s legs, twist counter-clockwise to dislocate shoulder. Step off attacker by turning clockwise and stepping over with right hook kick motion to Zone 2. Execute kneeling right thrust punch downward to attacker’s spine. Step back to Zone 2 with left foot, drawing up to flat cat, on guard position.

Combination 17

Draw back to left flat cat as #2 tiger claw blocks inside attacker’s right arm. Lunge in, striking face with left inverted tiger claw and right downward tiger claw to groin. Rip groin off as left hand circles over and under attacker’s right arm, seizing at the elbow joint. Right inverted tiger palm strikes left temple and stays on attacker’s head as right foot steps in counter-clockwise and left foot steps behind, turning counter-clockwise to horse stance (tiger hugs the moon). (At higher levels this may be done as a jump.) Having felled attacker to his back, strike low to right ribs with right thrust punch. Unwrap arm, delivering left thrust punch to same ribs, following with right shooting spear strike to trachea. Step back on right foot to Zone 5, drawing left foot to a flat cat on guard position.

Step out to Zone 6. Left #8 hooking crane hand block passes in front of #5 crane’s head block. Raise left foot to crane stance and deliver instep kick to attacker’s groin, stepping down between attacker’s legs. Deliver left inverted ridge to triple warmer 17. Left hand grabs around back of neck with a tiger’s mouth. Deliver a right cross sword hand to throat, pulling downward with left hand. Deliver stepping stool knees, first right, then left, impacting attacker’s Adam’s apple. Right arm drops a downward elbow, striking back of attacker’s neck on the left. Right hand then drops a reverse hammer strike behind attacker’s left ear. Jump back on right foot to Zone 6, raising left foot to a crane stance, with hands in crane guard: right sword hand in #5 block position and left sword hand in #8 block position. Deliver left instep kick, striking attacker’s face, returning to crane guard position.

Combination 19

Step back to Zone 7 with right foot, drawing left foot up to a cat stance. Smother attacker’s right arm across and down with #4 palm block while simultaneously delivering a left outward clock kick to the knee, stepping down to Zone 1. Right hand delivers shuto to attacker’s right collar bone, then quickly flips to deliver a shuto to the right side of the attacker’s neck. Right hand curves around to grasp the back of the attacker’s neck as left hand seizes attacker’s right wrist in a tiger’s mouth. Lift up and to the right with the left hand, raising attacker’s right arm, and down and to the left with the right hand, guiding attacker’s head under his arm in a Puta Kapalika throw. Attacker should end up at the practitioner’s feet, facing Zone 4. While cradling the back of the attacker’s neck with the right hand, rake up the attacker’s face with a left tiger’s claw, then deliver a right shuto to the nose. Step back to Zone 3 into an on-guard position.

Step left foot forward to Zone 1, delivering #2 outward sword hand to inside of attacker’s right radial nerve while simultaneously striking right clavicle with right driving sword hand. Circle right hand to another downward sword hand to left clavicle as attacker’s right arm is wrapped over and around with practitioner’s left arm while sweeping behind attacker’s left leg for a hock-down. Right downward sword hand to sternum, releasing arm. Step back with right foot to Zone 7, drawing left foot to flat cat stance.

Step left foot forward to Zone 1, raising #6 block and grasping opponent’s wrist with left hand while striking armpit with right leopard’s paw. Step into Zone 1 with right foot, passing under opponent’s arm. Pivot on right foot and step back on left foot. Right forearm smash to humerus, right above elbow. Stomp to top of opponent’s right calf with left outside clock kick, while striking Triple Warmer 17 with a right backfist, driving opponent to his knees. Spinning right reverse crescent to axe kick, striking the spine.

Left whipping elbow strikes a glancing blow to right front of attacker’s rib cage. Right tiger claw grabs groin and rips back as left sword hand strikes behind attacker’s right knee, felling attacker to his back. Press leg to outside of practitioner’s left thigh, holding with left outward sword hand on inside of attacker’s right ankle. Deliver right downward sword hand to center line of groin. Step back with left foot to Zone 5 into on-guard position.

Fade back to Zone 7 onto the right foot, passing with #4 block across the body and delivering a low left front kick to the knee. Deliver right palm, then left palm to face. Pivot clockwise on left foot to deliver right reverse elbow to the spine, then continue the pivot on the right foot to face the attacker’s back. Deliver left palm to spine, counter-balancing by swinging right hand back.

Step to Zone 1 with the right foot. Pass strike with #4 to #5 block. Deliver left hook kick to opponent’s chest. Step down and pass right arm in front of opponent’s body. Sweep right leg back and swing right arm forward for hock-down. Right front kick to opponent’s face.

Step to Zone 1 with right foot, crossing in front of left, passing with #4 block and delivering right crane’s head strike to cheekbone. Reach behind opponent’s neck with right hand to grasp far shoulder, stepping around behind and striking that collarbone with left downward elbow. Guide opponent to the ground with left forearm in front of neck, follow to drop next to opponent onto left knee. Strike with double palms to sternum, fingers facing inward. Cross hands and strike again. Rake outward with double tiger claws, then strike with left palm heel under chin and stand.

Roll to the right side with left hand coming across to press down on attacker’s triceps and rising up on right knee, left leg cocked in front of attacker’s right ankle. Deliver left instep roundhouse kick to back of attacker’s neck. Roll off to Zone 3. Stand up with left foot back to Zone 3 in on-guard position.

Back roll to Zone 7 and stand, assuming on-guard position.
